Granlahan Pupils meet Cora Harrison

Granlahan children met famous author
The children in Granlahan N.S. visited Ballyhaunis recently to meet well known children’s author, Cora Harrison. Ms. Harrison is the author of the hugely Drumshee Timeline Series, as well as books for younger readers. After a most interesting and well received talk on her work as a novelist, Ms Harrison then engaged the children in a question and answer session about her novels and about creative writing in general. The children had a most enjoyable afternoon and are delighted to have met one of their favourite authors.
Congratulations to the pupils of Granlahan N.S. who recently received their certificates for completing the Summer Reading Project at the local library. Awards were presented, at function held in the library by County librarian Mr. Austin Vaughan to; Fintan Kearney, Sarah Caulfield, Fiona Brady, Adrian Phillips, Liam Kearney, Mark Phillips and Riona Kearney. Both Fintan Kearney and Adrian Phillips received additional prizes of book-tokens for submitting book reviews of some of the books they had read.
