Advent Liturgy Workshop. An Advent/Christmas Liturgy workshop will be held in Knock House Hotel on Monday Nov. 19th from 8 – 10pm. This workshop will look specifically at the liturgies of this special time of year and explore how they can be enhanced through the use of music, movement and colour. All who have a responsibility in the area of Parish Liturgy are welcome to attend. The workshop will be presented by members of the Killala Liturgy and music Commission who were responsible for the wonderful Easter Liturgies which were broadcast by RTE last April.

World Youth Day. A group of 35 young people from our Diocese will travel to Sydney to participate in World Youth Day 2008. We have already received 31 deposits, if you know of any young person from your parish/church area who may be interested in joining us could you ask them to contact me before Nov. 16th? The total cost per pilgrim will be €2,500. We are suggesting that parishes might make a contribution of €500 towards the cost of their parishioners.

Diocesan Youth Council Just a brief reminder that a meeting of interested young people will be held at the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris on next Sunday, Nov. 11th from 2 – 4pm. to take the first steps towards setting up this council. You may know of some people (aged20-35) form your parish who have something to offer this project and we ask you to incite them along. Without personal invitation this undertaking will not succeed and so we once again are relying on you.

Defibrillator Revalidation Ballinlough – Granlahan defibrillator group will be revalidating the people who were trained in August ’07 on Nov. 17th 4pm in Enterprise Kiltullagh. Further revalidation and training will be advertised shortly.
