Confirmation: Sincere thanks to ArchBishop Michael Neary for visiting our parish and confirming our children. Our thanks also to all the teachers, pupils and parents who helped prepare the children for this important event in their lives. I want to thank sincerely the many other people who helped, the members of the choir who put in such a great effort and sang so beautifully on the day. Thanks to their organist Georgina Costello and Anne Teresa Cosgrove who directed the music.

Granlahan Church: The renovations and refurbishment of the Sanctuary area in Granlahan church is now complete. Sorry again for any inconvenience. I hope it helps us all to pray and to give glory to God as his people.

Granlahan Community Centre: Granlahan Community Centre will be holding a celebration mass on Friday 27th March at 8.15pm. This mass is to mark the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Community Centre. All are welcome and light refreshments will be served.

Churchgate Collection: The annual Roscommon churchgate collection for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus will take place next weekend March 28th and 29th in Granlahan and Ballinlough churches. Your support would be gratefully appreciated.

Stations: Maria and Tommy Regan, Thursday 26th March 8pm, Carrick West, Cashel, Clooncrim and Scregg.

Pastoral Councils: Training for members of our Parish Pastoral Councils will take place Tuesday 24th March 8pm-10pm in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris. It is important that all members of our Parish Pastoral Councils attend.

Connaught PTAA: Annual afternoon of prayer in The Blessed Sacrament Chapel, Knock on Sunday Mar 22nd from 3pm-6pm.

Tidy Towns Committee: Ballinlough Tidy Towns Committee are currently looking for volunteers. Please contact the following Lisa Anne Campbell (9640168), Elaine Patterson (9640247), Oona Fitzmaurice (9640068), Michael Donnellan (9640307).

Security in the Home: Ballinlough/Granlahan Community Alert Committee will present an information evening on security in the home in Campbell’s lounge on Monday 30th March 8pm. Members of the Garda will attend.

Roscommon Women’s Network: A new women’s group is being set up in the Castlerea area. The 1st get together will be held on Wednesday 18th March in the offices of Roscommon Women’s Network, The Old Mill, Castlerea from 10am-1pm. For more information call 0949621690 / 0868099154.
